They’re Making A Deep Throat Biopic?

If you’ve ever wondered what Hollywood is currently doing, usually it revolves around sex. If you’ve ever wondered how they’re trying to parlay sex into drama, you need not look further than Deep Throat: The Biopic.

Yes, Deep Throat. They’re doing a biopic on Linda Lovelace, the star of Deep Throat. It’s weird how much Hollywood loves the biopic. First they did them on major, large characters in history, then they burn through music, and now they’re doing major porn stars. That’s how the progression went. From history, to music, to porn. That’s how most progressions should take place. That’s usually how my day goes, from history, to music, to porn. All on the TV.

Anyhow, the biopic will be helmed by the directors and previous biographers that brought you Howl,  the movie. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. Not the one about the moving castle, but the one about Allen Ginsberg, the poet and his life. Which should be remarkably similar to a biopic of Linda Lovelace. Both were alive during the 70’s. Both used their mouths repeatedly in their line of work. Both probably grew beards well into their old age.

Hollywood’s going to play storyline that she became a fierce feminist and fighter of pornography later in life, but really, I could paint a house, and it’d have more compelling angles.
