Some people blame Stephanie Meyer for pussifying vampires. I blame Joss Whedon, for Angel’s consistent waffling and love-falling in and this, that, and the other.
But now, there’s a line of clothes that can accurately express how much Twilight is bad. Hopefully not completely accurately, cause that might take more than a few clothing lines. That might take like 23 different clothing lines, all made by the best deigners in the world. But the best designers in the world have other things to do. They have other products to quietly hate on, except for Twilight.
Which begs the question, has hating Twilight become obsolete? Has it become a passé activity, like hating N’ Sync or the Backstreet boys, as it’s a fad that will most likely end quite soon? I hope hating Twilight never goes out of style. I really hope twenty years from now, people will hear about Twilight, be able to watch the movie in all of the cheesetastic glory, and hate on it as much as it’s being hated on currently.
I can’t wait for this fad to die down. But for now, let’s revel in all the people who are actually doing something to turn public tide, like the shirt makers at Deviant Art. They’re making shirts that celebrate vampires who are bad to the bone, instead of the ones that are pasty and want to kiss you.
Support the cause.
