There Are Oceans of Diamonds On Uranus

By Mark Lorenz on January 20th, 2010

Uranus-1All over it. I mean, Uranus is covered in vast quantities of precious, precious stones. Each little bit of diamonds you can garner from Uranus are probably worth more than all the gems on earth combined. Uranus is the biggest source of precious stones the world has ever seen.

Seriously, on Neptune and Uranus there are vast deposits of diamonds that’ll be untouched by human hands. How exciting is that? We have diamonds on planets that are near to us. We don’t have to venture out 2 million light-years away to a planet like Pandora, and get tiny actors like Giovanni Ribisi to get precious stones. All we have to do is man an expedition to Uranus and dig. Dig. Not only are there diamonds on Uranus, there are oceans of diamonds on Uranus.

Scientists spent years in a lab trying to convert diamonds into liquid, into what must’ve been the most infuriating experiment for all da single ladies everywhere. The poles of Uranus and Neptune could help explain the discrepancy in their magnetic fields. On Earth, the poles and the magnetic fields roughly match up. On Uranus and Neptune, they can be as much as 60 degrees off.

That and more are explained at Discovery.com, in terms of science far beyond my own comprehension.

I’m glad us humans cant touch it. Greed ,Power, wealth only the privileged will benefit, from the labours of the poor. A dog goes for a walk in the park, comes across a piece of shit, next to it a big diamond stone. Which do you think, the dog will be more interested in?.

Too bad diamonds aren't actually worth that much. The price is kept artificially high by diamond cartels. For more info see The Straight Dope: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2524/is-a-diamonds-price-a-true-measure-of-its-value Oh, also the fact that there isn't actually any proof of this, it's just possible.

Yes, anyone who knows the term "blood diamond" will probably know that diamonds are actually pretty common, they're simply a monopolized market.

Everyone that works in the diamond industry know it is a monopoly by De Beers. They control the prices. Another thing is. Something is only worth allot if it hard to get or someone create a monopoly like De Beers. The media are controlled too so this info is only available on youtube etc. See more: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6186684678299366197 Also search for "fall of the republic"

Another things about diamonds ... by now we are capable of producing them industrially and make them with higher quality than natural diamonds. And in the end they're really nothing more than just shiny stones that have very little practical use.
