Twitter-1Paul Chambers has just made history. He is the first person in Britain to be arrested for tweeting. Which technically sounds like it SHOULD be a British offense.

Even if your bags are lost, the flight attendant threatens to violate you mid-flight, and the flight is directed to Fiji without your knowledge, you still shouldn’t make bomb threats. Generally speaking, making bomb threats is frowned upon. On any forum. Unless it’s 4chan.

A British man, most noted for their sense of humor, was arrested by the South Yorkshire Police under the Terrorism Act for tweeting about a bomb threat to Robin Hood Airport. I love that there’s an actual Robin Hood airport in the world. Hopefully you buy a first class ticket, and they force you into coach, and everyone from coach gets free chicken. Or fish. Or chicken fish.

Paul Chambers said he’d blow Doncaster’s airport ‘sky high’ if his flight was delayed. He was then arrested at his house and interrogated for seven hours. So his flight was on time, but because he threatened to blow up the airport, he was delayed. Police deleted the tweet.

He’s now banned from Robin Hood airport entirely. Next time you’re going to make joking threats, don’t do it in Robin Hood airport. Those bitches be serious.
