Funny article but if you put up with the things on this list, you need to work on yourself. It’s true that many women behave this way in relationships. Whether consciously or subconsciously, they generally do it to test us. If you put up with this kind of crap on a regular basis they WILL lose respect for you and eventually leave you. Putting up this type of behavior all the time is like saying “I don’t see myself as being worthy of you so you no longer have to treat me with the rules of common decency that apply to everyone else in your life.”

I just want to say this is NOT accurate at all. I’ve been with my boyfriend for three years and been living with him for 2 of them. I am never late when we have a date, I’ll go anywhere in one of his sweatshirts and a pair of jeans, I’m perfectly content with staying home, I only have 4 toiletries occupying his bathroom (deodorant, my own shampoo and conditioner, and shaving cream), I control my emotions, I don’t complain, I eat like a bachelor for fuck’s sake! this is the single most accurate list of spousal/girlfriend pet peeves i have ever seen. A few more suggestions.

1) she makes you hang out with her friends, even though you have nothing to contribute to their girl talk.

2) they think you work for them or something. they literally start bossing you around after a year in, and you give in just because its not worth it to fight everytime they order you to place your shoes at the door or to keep your towel on your side of the rack.

You’ve got me on the pillows, reorganization, amount of toiletries and food can’t “always” just be food. But, I love having time alone, don’t cry, am not attached to my phone and don’t overdress or take too long to get ready. It’s kind of funny because I am a female, and I don’t fit into this “standard” pattern. As a result, I have been called unfashionable, boring, dull, and unladylike. I love eating at home and dislike outdoors, I always judge an item by its usefulness instead of appearance, I can’t stand movies with cheesy romance, and I don’t even know a thing about makeup (which inevitably causes me to be an ignorant idiot among my circle of friends who do). I’m not trying to say that this list is accurate, because I, for one, don’t follow the trend. However, there is some truth to it, because there must be a reason I am treated as an outcast.
