Giuliani: You Said You’d Never Forget

“We had no domestic attacks under Bush,” Giuliani said. “We’ve had one under Obama.”

Hmmmm … no domestic terror attacks. Hmmmm. Rudy Giuliani’s from New York, where, according to Rudy Giuliani, there were no domestic terror attacks under George W. Bush. Well, he was the former Mayor of New York during George W. Bush’s presidency, so I guess I’ll have to take his word for it. I’ll just wiki it just to make absolutely sure.

Wait a minute!

What is this? There was an attack — that must not have received much coverage — on September 11 of 2001. But that was a long time ago, maybe the attack wasn’t that big. Let me read on. Wow, 3,000 people. That sounds like a lot. But you know, New York is a big place, 3,000 people might not seem like a lot to the mayor of a big city like New York. Wait, hold on, I see a picture of Rudy Giuliani in the article. That’s weird, they’re calling him “The 9/11 Mayor,” let me read on.

Wait a darn minute! Apparently this guy has done nothing BUT talk about 9/11 since it happened, apparently that was the backbone of his ENTIRE presidential campaign! What the heck-a-ma-doodle is going on here? I don’t want to accuse Giuliani of revisionist history, but … I mean he is an old man, perhaps he has suffered a terrible stroke that took his memory but only in the parts of his brain that remember 9/11?

Wait a minute!

I’ve just done surgery in Rudy Giuliani’s brain, and from what I can tell his brain predominantly thinks about 9/11 all the time! I hate to say it, but it seems like Giuliani is leaving out important facts, important facts he said he would never forgot, to paint a specific political picture to help his agenda.

Usually it takes at least 50 years before you can completely rewrite history — even when the event isn’t the single most jarring terror attack in the history of the United States — but I guess Giuliani is just trying to set a record and do it in nine years. Well, hopefully, for his sake the Tea Partiers are having their tea Irish.
