Jay-Leno-1

Everyone say it at once: assholes.

For those of you who still don’t know Jeff Zucker is the man in charge on NBC. The man who ran the company so far into the ground, it’s now being bought by Comcast. And I will briefly outline why I hate him.

Every time I fly on American Airlines, they show an incredibly crappy movie, followed by an hour and a half or more of NBC/Universal programming. And it’s always the bad shows they’re trying to promote. They promote their shows by forcing a captive audience to watch them, because that’s the only way they can ever guarantee anyone will watch NBC in this day and age.

Jeff Zucker is responsible for this Conan debacle, and turning NBC from the network that brought you Friends, Frasier, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, ER, television dynasties to the network that brought you The Office. That’s about it. And now, he’s threatened to keep Conan off the air for 3 ½ years, the duration of his contract.

But it’s not just a threat. He followed through. Rumors are he’s officially canned Conan, and negotiated to put Jay Leno back in the 11:35 slot, for an hour-long show. NBC has completely shafted a talent that’s stayed loyal to them through the years, and so far, there’s no sign of Zucker being fired.

So far. But when you run a network worse than a McDonald’s, it’ll happen eventually.

March on NBC. We’re all team Coco.

Well, Jeff "c0ck" Zucker has finally done it. He has shown us what television at NBC is REALLY all about. It's not about giving us quality programming (that's been gone for years). It's not even about ratings, any more. It's about a screaming 2-year-old (Zucker) throwing a tantrum and crying "I want my way!!!". I will forever now not watch NBC, will do my best to boycott EVERY corporation they are affiliated with, and am in the process of divesting myself of any investment related to those companies (you know they are going to tank). Also, Jay Leno has proved himself (once again) a corporate tool, as well as being Zucker's biatch.
