Do you like flashing gadgets? Do you like Las Vegas? Do you think that there’s nothing better than having flashing gadgets in a city that’s basically a self-contained disco ball? Then you should go to the CES convention.
The Consumer Electronics Show is the primo place to premiere new technology. Back in 1970, the VCR made its first appearance, and now in 2010, who knows what sort of wondrous new things will be revealed? One thing’s for sure: they’ll probably be using VCRs out back, during the lesser publicized skeet shooting demonstrations.
David Cross does a fantastic routine off his 1996 special about how the CES convention second floor is full of porn stars. At least, I think that’s the convention he was talking about. There’s no other convention that features gadgets and titty. So if you get a chance, and they’re doing the porn thing again this year, make sure you get your copy of F&$! Attendance to the convention was down twenty two percent last year, due to the economic downturn. Game-changing devices such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, Blu-Ray, all made their debut at the CES. So keep your eyes peeled. We’ll be bringing you new tech announcements as they come up.
