Lil’ Wayne Going To Prison, Album Leaked

Thanks to New York gun laws, Lil’ Wayne will officially get street cred. Like, more than just living in New Orleans, having shot himself in the chest, and getting signed to a record deal at age 15. THE PLACE THAT DREAAAAMS ARE MAAAADE OFFFF.

Everyone’s favorite syrup-sipping junkie gremlin has had an eventful year. First, a documentary detailing his creative process (i.e. getting blazed in hotel rooms and recording while traveling) was released without his blessing. Then his new “rock” album, Rebirth, which has been pushed back repeatedly, has been leaked by Amazon.com. 500 copies of it were sent out to customers who had pre-ordered, with at least one vowing to leak the album on the Internet. And now his sentencing date has been passed down.

Weezy was stopped in 2007 in New York. Cops searched his tour bus at a traffic stop and found an unlicensed gun. His sentencing will come down on February 9, where he’ll receive only a year that his lawyers plead for. There was controversy earlier this year when it was revealed that most New York prisons require you to cut off your dreadlocks, causing several Weezy fangirls to have a heart attack. I mean, what would Weezy be without his dreadlocks? He’s like hip-hop’s Samson. His hair is full of magic.

Rebirth, Weezy’s album, is set to be released February 1, to coincide with the date of his sentencing. But it’s about to leak anyways, so good luck selling copies like Tha Carter III did, Wizzles.
