Fred: The Movie

If there’s one thing that I don’t understand, it’s people who get deals off of YouTube. People are pretty much retarded when it comes to new media. The Internet, after all, is a collection of things people look at when they’re bored. They won’t actively seek them out if they were in any other medium. And yet, Fred, the number one viewed comedy series on YouTube, is getting a movie.

If you haven’t seen Fred, let me summarize the experience for you. Jam pencils into your ears, then watch terrible Adam Sandler movies on repeat. Then listen to some Miley Cyrus records and that Henry VIII song on repeat. After a few hours of this, you’ll have come nowhere close to the level of annoyance that will fill you after five seconds of watching this, but it’ll get you in the right mindset. I’m more surprised school shootings haven’t been a common occurrence these days. Media is 20x as annoying. Anyway, here’s a video link with what he does. Watch it. And decide for yourself whether or not it merits a budget within the low seven figures. Also, try to restrain yourself from grabbing a shotgun. I had to cut off both my hands.

That’s right. This kid got a budget in the low seven figures. Start your engines. And your watches. And the torches. Tonight, we storm the studios and burn them down. How many more variations on a theme from Old Dogs can you take? Really.
