Another wrestler, Edward Fatu, has died far too young.
Edward Fatu, who wrestled as Umaga, was found by his wife on his living room floor, blood running from his nose and mouth. He was then taken to a Houston hospital where he was declared dead. Fatu had just taken part in Hulk Hogan’s Hulkamania tour in Australia.
Fatu was a member of the Anoa’i wrestling dynasty, which includes his cousin, The Rock, uncles, who wrestled as the Wild Samoans, and brothers. He held the Intercontinental Title two times before he was let go from the WWE for violating their wellness policy and refusing to enter rehab.
The WWE is a billion-dollar empire in the wrestling world, but only recently did they institute a wellness policy to battle rampant steroid and performance enhancing drug abuse that claims the lives of so many wrestlers. Unfortunately, when you violate that policy, you are simply kicked out of the WWE. They don’t try to do any follow-up counseling, or lock you in a room and force you to get clean. They leave you by the wayside.
Fatu was looking forward to retirement so he could spend more time with his family. He leaves behind a wife and four children. He was 36.

You sir are an idiot. WWE offers Wellness and rehab to EVERY wrestler even after they are no longer employed. By the looks of your photo, Id concern yourself with reviewing Harry Potter and Dragons, and please stop your attempts at 15 minutes of fame.

A guy died needlessly due to a lackluster wellness program. This isn't the forum to try to tag people on their appearances. Even if you host a totes awesome podcast.

wwe does offer a program. by law no one can force anyone into rehab unless it goes through court and this is the last option. if he refused treatment then that is not their fault. he will be sadly missed. lets just leave it at that!

Too sad to learn that Umaga is no more, its like a dream, he is the reason I was watching wrestling and am regreting to announce the withdrawal of my support for this spot because my star is gone. Justine Kawisha, Journalist from Mazabuka Town, Zambia-Africa

Umaga does have children. I met 3 of them at Splashtown in Houston last summer. I didn't know he had another one though.
