ABC Cancels Two More Adam Lambert Appearances

By Mark Lorenz on December 3rd, 2009

Adam-Lambert-1Before you cry about ABC hating gay people, I have four words. Ugly Betty. Desperate Housewives. But from now on, we won’t even call him Adam Lambert. We’ll call him Glittermuffins, for he parades his glittery muffin-top around like royalty.

Lord Glittermuffins’ debut has fallen behind fellow Idol alums’ David Archuleta and Allison Iraheta this week. Live performances might help his album sales, though. Unfortunately, Adam Lambert pissed off quite a few people at ABC. You might’ve recalled him wheezing onstage, trying to salvage a performance of a terrible song by making out with people, borrowing a page from the handbook Madonna minted in the mid-’80s. And then yelling. It caused a bit of controversy. ABC had scheduled him to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and then on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve show with Ryan Seacrest. But then the arbiters of taste made an executive decision that he would bring fines from the FCC, and ABC booted him off instead.

Let that be a lesson. If you’re going to do something risqué on ABC, make sure it’s pre-scripted, and not targeted to troll Middle America. Cause those people don’t fuck around, and will relegate you to Jay Leno. Where Lord Glittermuffins will be performing next. Here’s hoping he’ll recoup his record label costs. But it’s not likely.

Good for ABC. There is gay and there is just plain grose. His AMA performance was horrible. He should have concentrated on his voice instead of trying to be himself in the bedroom on the stage. Who does he thinks he is God gift to Rock. I dont think so!!!!!
