Shower-1Did you ever want a shower that was vaguely like the internet? A series of wet tubes where you can bathe yourself and possibly entertain a waiting audience? Transtube has heard your cries.

Designed for the man who has everything, including a bunch of go-go cages that don’t act as functional showers, the Transtube 360 is a fully viewable shower experience. Designed by Spanish design company Roca, it’d fit great into minimalist spaces, and there are no bolts, hinges, screws, or handles. The selling point? A motion-sensing door. You approach the door, and like some kind of sorcery, it’ll open of its own volition. Like magic. A magic motion sensing door.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen nothing in the press releases about how to open it when the power goes off, so I’m assuming they might want to sell a magic motion sensing hammer, and magic motion sensing shoes that are impervious to glass cuts, as well.

Even still, I would love to have something like this in my home. It’s like a Star Trek transporter, but with water. And any household appliances vaguely resembling creations from Star Trek I’m okay with having around, provided they aren’t sharp and reminiscent of anything swung by a Klingon.

That’s how you know you’ve made it: when even your shower is sporting serious tech.

you know, for how sexy this could actually look, it doesn't look all to sexy. maybe it's just the picture (the convention show background doesn't help), but it is just, kinda, left wanting. yeah?

agreed. I really feel like a naked woman in there would help convey the coolness.
