Mike Tyson Arrested At LAX
If you haven’t seen the documentary “Tyson” yet, take time to do it. It’s probably one of the best sports docs to come out in recent years, and is startling, insightful, and never boring. Like the man himself. Mike Tyson has had a year of ups and downs, with “The Hangover,” the death of close family members, and now, an arrest at LAX.
If there’s one person I wouldn’t want to piss off, it’d be Mike Tyson. The man’s just three inches taller than me, yet routinely took apart giants. I’d be willing to bet, that if you put him in his prime against any other boxer in history, he would destroy them. He was just MEAN, man. Lately, as more details of his life has emerged, he’s gone from being reviled to a somewhat tragic figure. Which is why it’s sad a photographer got in his face at LAX.
Allegedly, Tyson was protecting his family against aggressive paparazzi, who followed him into the men’s bathroom, and were trying to get pictures of him there. Tyson decked the guy once, and he was down. As he should be.
Police apprehended Tyson and the photographer, Tony Echevarria, who both want to press charges of misdemeanor battery on each other. Tyson’s bail is set at 20k.
Uh, dude, I wouldn’t press anything against Tyson. You were told once already.

honestly, while i disagree with Tyson’s actions, the shit the paparazzi can get away with is unbelievable. i’d punch them out too if they followed me into the bathroom, trying to snap a shot.
really though, there should be some sort of laws or regulations against these guys. just because a celebrity often spends their life in the public eye, doesn’t mean they don’t still deserve some privacy too.
disgusting.
