So I was perusing through the NY Times and found this article in which Don L. Blankenship CEO of Massey Energy, the 4th largest coal company in the United States, casts dispersions on Global Warming. The title of the article was  “COAL EXECUTIVE SLAMS CLIMATE SCIENCE”. Whether you believe in Global Warming or not, you’ve got to admit that the CEO of a company that produces coal is hardly unbiased in making a statement about it.  Mr. Blankenship goes on in the article to say he’s, “… more interested in finding the truth than being politically correct.”  The article does not, however, mention that while being interviewed for the article Mr. Blankenship was revving the engine on his H2 Hummer and aiming his exhaust pipe directly at the ozone layer, while at the same time pushing a baby seal’s face into a bucket full of crude oil. Because he was not doing those things.

Nonetheless, in celebration of the humorous conflict of interest obvious here, I have decided to do a list of my favorite NY Times article titles for articles where someone is obviously going to  go off on a ridiculously biased tirade that I wish were real:

1.  Mel Gibson Comes Out Strongly Against Excessive “Jewy-ness” of Nearby Synagogue

2. African Rebel Gang Leaders Feel Villagers Could Be A Little More Willing to Set Their Own Village on Fire

3. Pock Marks Frustrated, Wish Morgan Freeman’s Face Would Be More Open to Them

4.  Charlie Sheen Angered, Says Not Enough Sitcoms are Made Bland Enough By His Presence

5. Local Heterosexual Male visits Abercrombie and Fitch store, finds 200 foot tall picture of a man’s six pack to be “At Best, A Mixed Blessing”
