Florida Gator Brandon Spikes might be looking at a few games suspension after he was caught eye-gouging Georgia running back Washaun Ealey. The All-American linebacker was not flagged on the play, even though CBS cameras caught everything.
Florida coach Urban Meyer had no idea Spikes eye gouged another player and when asked what he thought, replied, “If that’s the case, I’ll have a very serious talk with him.”
Florida and Georgia are long time rivals and with this being such an important game for both teams, we were bound to see some “unnecessary roughness.” Furthermore, football players across the board have admitted to playing dirty while in a pile up. Unfortunately, all too often the refs can’t see what’s going on and if you’re at the bottom, you’re more likely to get roughed up.
