However, what this blog, like most political blogs, unfortunately, is replete with is unfounded name-calling (for example, you called me a “retard” because you got your feelings hurt and instead of contemplating the accuracy of the insights, you try to hurt back–childish, as pointed out).

This entire “Sarah Palin” drama is not perpetuated by Palin herself. It is a smear campaign based upon nothing but hate for a woman’s values and beliefs. If she were as stupid as you and your ilk try to make her out to be, then what does that say for you? You are this threatened and/or fascinated by someone with the intelligence of hammer? If that were true about you, I would not be writing this. As it is, you are an intelligent person, just mis-guided, and, unfortunately, full of anger that finds outlets of invective instead of reasoned argument.

Still have not heard back on the grounds for me being called “slow.” ….

In the meantime, I do not see how I have insulted anyone in my posts. You mention “talking points” as an attempt to discredit me. Well, that’s like you making the claim that intelligent life exists in other parts of the universe. I respond back by saying, for example, there is no proof for that and offer an explanation for why you 1) actually believe something where there is no evidence for it, and 2) would make an argument so passionately for something you, deep down, really know not to be supported by clinical data. You then criticize me by pointing out I have not offered any evidence for not believing that life on other planets is not a fact.

Do you see the fallacy here? You are accusing me not having empirical evidence when you started the thread by making assertions without any evidence for your claims. You are utilizing the argumentative strategy of deflection to cover up your own lack of supportive research by pointing out my own lack of footnotes. Well, you never presented any argument that requires evidence, only gossip, heresay, etc …

This also has the added benefit of never having to address any of my assertions. Mock first–then ignore if they don’t go away. This seems to be your mode.

Again, name-calling and person insults (like dissing a person’s intelligence) are tactics used when you have nothing else to fall back on.

I’m waiting (but not holding my breath) for a mature, reasoned response to the grounds upon which you question my intelligence.

Now, substantiate your claim that I am “slow,” please. Because from what I’m reading on this blog, I have, by far, some of the most intelligent comments. Am I lacking intelligence, or merely failed to pay attention to the name of author of this gossip-piece?

Please provide the basis upon which you smear me with this favorite smear tactic by liberals by insulting my intelligence. We’ll see if it has the same level of merit that fails to exist in the Palin smear campaign.

LOL! I thought he was just a commentor, like me. This is going from bad to worse. Mark, you undermine any semblence of credibility by spewing invective and hate at the posters to your own article. It’s one thing to clarify misunderstandings. It’s quite another to continue your unsubstantiated rant in the comments section. Had I know you were the author of this mindless gossip piece, I never would have addressed you seriously in my previous post.

Your intolerance for viewpoints that are incongruent with your own is akin to a narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), something that has been noted to applly to Obama. It results in irrational outbursts triggered by challenges to your belief-systems about yourself, designed to protect a “me-centered” delusion created as a defense mechanism against pain experienced in childhood trauma.

My heart goes out to folks like this. Their rantings, hatred, and irrational outbursts are really rooted in pain that needs healing. And yes, NPD is a leading psychological condition for the development of (the non-genetically determined) homosexuality, as one poster has suggested is the case here with the author.

Liberals operate from the assumption that they do not need to change and manufacture a worldview around themselves. Liberals can not tolerate the notion of absolute truth, because they are the ones who solely define what truth is “for them.” We see that many of the harmful “isms” throughout history have sprung from this unhealthy psyche, from Alexander the Great to Hitler to Stalin, to our current “President” Obama, etc … all of them were/are nationalizing narcissists completely convinced in the “goodness” of themselves, and hence, their “truths,” and unable to accept empirically-based criticism before train-wrecking a nation (or nations).

God help us.

As mentioned earlier, it is simply because they hate the principles and values Palin represents. The best they can “get” on her is HERESAY: undocumented, unproven gossip that she referred to her child a certain way. You want to turn a tape recorder on in YOUR home for a week and see what we get? I’ve called my own child things and my pets things that I’m not proud of, but it happens to all of us.

Even if Palin did say this about her child–SO WHAT? Seriously. What other human being on the planet has their PRIVATE life scrutinized to this degree? Even after she was no long VP candidate?

Why was Obama’s private life not scrutinized like this? How about his ties to ACORN, anti-American terrorist Bill Ayers, communists like Van Jones, lawsuits he filed against banks for not making enough “sub-prime loans” that led to our current meltdown, his unwillingness to produce this college records and actual birth certificate, his ties to Chicago “mobster union bosses,” why his grandmother who says she witnessed his birth in Kenya died suddenly (hmmmm) one day after he won the DNC nominiation, etc ….. … .. on and on and on ….

The fact that Obama’s mountain of corruption and racial statements and simply ignorant outbursts–like there being 57 states in the Union (youtube it, people) has been ignored and Palin’s uncorrobortaed statements have been under the microscope is evidence that Palin’s CHRISTIANITY is hated and real, and Obama, the Muslim and fake Christian, is the hand-picked puppet leader by the Establishment.
