And it looks freaking amazing.
For those of you that have been living under a rock, the Left For Dead series is one of Valve’s flagship games, along with Half-Life, Portal, and whatever else science is able to wrought from tiny video screens. The premise was simple, like most brilliant premises. Create a first person shooter where the people you’re blasting aren’t people; they’re zombies. And it worked perfectly. It’s one of the most fun games Valve has ever created, and has prompted hundreds of late-night gaming and munchie sessions.
Well, they’re making a sequel. And the sequel looks even better. Today a new trailer for the sequel was released, leaked, rather, over the internet, featuring the new survivors, a new town, and cameos from the new kind of zombies. The extended-head on a weird naked lady, the giggling man zombie, and all the rest have shown up for a party that’ll last a lifetime. Or several. Interesting that Valve is blitzing the interwebs with information about their new games specifically this month. The new Left 4 Dead add-on, Dead By Dawn, comes out on Halloween, and next month, you and I will spend plenty of time playing L4D2. And burning our Adam Lambert records.
