Balloon Boy Update: In the Attic, But Not “Pussified” Apparently

October 15th. Remember that day? Yeah that’s the day every TV channel in the nation spent the better part of an afternoon following the story of a six-year-old boy who, allegedly, climbed into his dad’s make-shift air balloon and floated off into the abyss. Or Denver airport, if we want to be factual. And when it finally landed? No kid. Why? He hadn’t really flown away in the balloon, he just accidentally sent it off, got scared and hid. In the attic.

That paragraph above? That was the news of the day. Which probably was the biggest central news focus since MJ died. America, you are where we all live. But the story gets better. Not only is this not the first foray into unneeded television exposure for the Heene family — they were also featured on ABC’s reality TV series Wife Swap — but the family has also used their young children as props against the “pussification” of America. No, for real. Check out this YouTube video the family made (note: not family friendly).

But to be serious for half a moment, this kind of stuff does get me a little mad. It’s one thing to harp on the over-parentification of those who won’t let their kids do anything for fear they’ll scratch their knee. But having your little kids singing about “pussification” and rapping “fagg-t” like it’s no big deal? At age six? Just, ughh…

Besides the obvious issues of poor parenting and the fact that a group of 9 year old's are saying f*gg*t, I cant believe they actually made a Mr. Hankey reference. What is this? 2002? Let's not resort to hack comedy shall we?

I am glad the boy is O.K. but I hope it was not a publicity stunt.

It's hard to say if the kids are saying the F word or Falcon trying to pee on them. But at any rate this video is despicable and the parents should be ashamed for promoting such filth using their young children.

Oh by the way, get the facts straight, Falcon, the child who was supposedly in the balloon, he is six, not 9.

Okay, either the mother of these kids is insane or has no business being a child bearer. The father is obviously a nut case--but in any case, the kids are being encouraged to be obnoxious and disgusting. Mr. Hanky??? Itchy balls??? And now the famous balloon hoax?? This is why I believe some people should just be born sterile. They have no business, let alone the intelligence, to raise children to be decent citizens. SICKOS!!!

Gee, I'm so sorry to hear that, Lisa. That must have been tough for you. Yes, you should write a letter. /sarcasm .... WTF is WRONG with you? Thousands of children die every day from war, starvation, unclean water, preventable diseases and domestic abuse, and THIS is what's going to keep you up at night? THIS is what you're going to do something about?
