The Republicans never really “get” it, but we’ve known that for a while, especially when President Taft’s ill-aligned time traveling bullet-warping “The Tafttrix” failed to pull in any money at the box office. But here in 2009, their new website is trying oh-so-hard to be cool. Notably: the complete absence of what the political party actually is: old, white, men. Infact, you’d be hard pressed to find any white dudes. Or anything reminding you of the last 8 years, Hurricane Katrina, the repealing of civil liberties, and the trillion dollar national debt.
With blog names like ‘Say It Loud’ and ‘Change The Game’, it’s like the GOP is trying reaaaaaaally hard at appealing to black people in a pretty embarrassing way, rendering us at Manolith speechless, wondering why they didn’t go all out white-people-embarrassing and wear backwards baseball hats and start saying “brother” a lot (kind of like our writer Mark after a few drinks). They’ve even got the Michael Steele as their figurehead leader (calling him ‘Chairman’ really doesn’t help their boo-to-socialism agenda…), with him all over the site. It reeks if disingenuousness – taking away womens rights, civil rights, and then plastering the ‘party of the people’ message is total, total crap. Plus, it’s TOOOOTALLY biting Obama’s steez with the design and layout – ripping it off almost wholesale. It’s just bad vibes, man. It’s one thing to – I don’t know – put stem cell research on hold because of RELIGIOUS BELIEFS – but its a whole other ballpark when you’re playing some weird propaganda war like they seem to be doing now. At least get your own design, people. Come on.
Take a look for yourself. What do you think?

Is this site funded by the Democratic party or something? It seems that way. You could have a cool site. Except that you have to ruin it with constant sophomoric political commentary. Or maybe that's the point. Maybe you're trying to lure dudes in with hot chicks and gear so that you can throw the political commentary out there. I don't know. I don't think the Republicans are so great myself, but if I wanted to read people telling me that, I'd go sign up for site with real political commentary and analysis.

Yeah, Ned. Leave the political commentary to the adults. Like Glenn Beck.

Yea - nothing like stereotyping Republicans as "old-white-men". So, I guess you think that all Democrats are black?...that seems about right. Come on yourself - this article really says a lot for the advancement of the Dems. Congratulations!

Weak piece, at least as lame as the site it attempts to mock. If you're going to be rankly partisan, at least make it funny. Like Howard Dean.
