In this recession filled economy, cheap halloween costumes are a must. Don’t you hate those guys that spend $400 on limited edition Zoro costumes, when they could get the same thing at a place like GetGreatCostumes.com. It just doesn’t make much sense to me. You’re only going to wear it a couple nights out of the year anyway.
I’m also a big fan of the thrift store option. Yes, you have to accept the fact that the clothes have been worn by someone else, but as long as your not going for their undergarments, you’ll be fine.
Then there’s always the lazy man option, which would mean going as yourself. I usually leave this one to the parents and guardians taking their children around the block for trick-or-treating. No one really expects you to get all dressed up.
Last and certainly not least is my favorite, the mask option. This is great for me because I’m lazy and cheap. I usually just dress in black and where a funny mask. This is a great option because it’s simple and allows you to express yourself without being yourself. For example, this year I was thinking about going as Bernie Madoff and stealing people’s money. They couldn’t arrest me because I’m already in jail! Take that SEC!
