People love animals of all shapes and sizes. Even if they’re large and amoeba like. Like, if the Blob took over a city and was cute enough, I’m sure instead of inspiring fear, people would want to adopt him.

Enter the latest pet craze. Are you annoyed at Hollywood bimbos dragging around tiny dogs in their handbags? Well, you may be less annoyed when they start dragging around pigs.

Teacup pigs are the new pet craze in England. Color me shocked that the English are crazy over something tea related. They are tiny pigs, who way over a half a pound at birth, grow to 16 inches high, and grow to be about 65 pounds. Which is tiny for a pig. Most pigs grow up to be, like, 300 pounds and angry and are not nearly as adorably named. Teacup pigs are highly intelligent and get bored easily, so breeders don’t usually sell them to people who aren’t equipped to handle a pig that wants attention constantly. Which is most people. They’re sold in pairs, and each one goes for about $1,100 each.

So pairs of clean, highly intelligent, tiny pigs may be making their way into your friends houses soon enough. Which is awesome, but also a sign of the apocalypse.

BUT GAWD, THEY’RE ADORABLE.
