Today, rapper Shyne will be released from prison after spending 10 years behind bars. Shyne real name Jamal Barrow, was convicted of shooting a bystander at a New York nightclub during a New Years Eve celebration in 1999. Puff Daddy and Jennifer Lopez were both with Shyne during the time of the shooting and according to reports the alleged fight broke out after someone disrespectfully through money at Puff.
Shyne, who before prison solidified himself in the rap industry as one of the best, will still be under probation for the next 2 1/2 years. Major rappers from New York are welcoming back the Belizian American born musician with open arms. Def Jam artist Fabolous tweeted that today is something like a celebration of sorts “Somebody gettin outta jail is like a Hood Holiday…Welcome Home Shyne Po… Brooklyn Love.”
