This is why people hate Americans.
I may be biased because so many people in my immediate family have adopted kids, but this story is utterly ridiculous. A woman, Anita Tenaldi, and her husband, who already have five children, all girls, decided to adopt a little boy from South America. One can assume their financial situation is pretty good if they can afford six children. But as time passed, they decided the boy was not a good fit for their family, so they GAVE HIM BACK.
Who does that? There are thousands of people waiting to have kids of their own, on adoptive waiting lists, who will probably never get a shot at adopting a child, but they’re holding out hope. The fact that one family is allowed to reneg on a promise made to one is just mind-blowing.
Unbelievable. Not only does this child have to go through two painful adoptive processes, but to do it publicly. Let’s hope he doesn’t remember too much of it.
Also, if you’re gonna treat a kid like a vacuum cleaner, don’t just return him. Upgrade. Clearly one South American baby could give you credit to go towards the price of an African baby, the Rolls Royces of unfortunate children. I mean, look at the way this baby shines in the moonlight. And matches your curtains.
Ridiculous.

In my line of work, unfortunately this is NOT uncommon. It happens all the time.
This did happened in europe a few years back and the south korean girl was returned back to her country. The wife ended up pregnant and said the adopted korean didn’t fit in.
