So, some guy named Dalton Chiscolm (a great gunfighter name if I’ve ever heard one) thinks he has a legitimate beef with Bank of America. He claims that numerous checks of his have been rejected because of incompatible routing numbers, and that his calls to a particular branch resulted only in more misinformation from an alleged “Spanish womn” [sic].
So he’s suing B of A for the prepubescent sum of 1,784 billion, trillion dollars. First of all, that’s completely awesome. I really want to see the legal briefs that display that amount; I’d frame that puppy and hang it on my bathroom wall. Second of all, is that even a real number? ‘Cause … carry the one … I don’t know that it really is. I’m not a mathematician; someone confirm this for me.
And third of all, this guy must not watch a lot of TV, or he’d know that the monetary damage ratio he’s asking for is clearly way too big, given how much money he’s supposedly lost. How big were these checks of his? What was he paying for, the deed to Monster Island?
U.S. District Judge Denny Chin has given Chiscolm until October 23rd to cough up a good reason for this crazygonuts number, or he’ll probably toss the case entirely. He hasn’t said that, but c’mon, he’d have to. You can’t take crap like this seriously, based on no evidence. Good luck, Dalton. Let us know how your Spanish lessons are coming along.
