Yum! Brands is a wily, scary beast. Not only do they put own Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC, but the feel the dire need to combine these things together – as if by some black magic it will make these things “better”. Because God knows that the Taco Bell hot sauce tastes that much better on a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza.
Do we really need these hybrids? Isn’t a Taco Bell enough? Is a Pizza Hut actually “food”? (hint: no). If you were in fact in a Pizza Hut and Taco Bell combination store would you feel the need to say “I’m at the combination Pizza Hut & Taco Bell”? It seems that two forward thinking Brooklynites had a similar thought:
My vote is yes: we DO need these things to coexist. This is the Obama generation, we are a forward thinking cultural melting pot and we certainly do not need any more taco / pizza racism. Hell, put them on the same plate why don’t you. This is America, and these colors don’t run. If you ask me, there should already be a Burger King / Baskin Robbins hybrid.
