A Johns Hopkins University student took the law into his own hands after killing an intruder with a Samurai Sword. Baltimore police reported that they “heard shouts and screams from a neighboring home” after responding to a 911 call in the area. When they arrived on the scene, the burglar looked to be in pretty bad shape with cuts and lacerations all over his body.
The story gets more interesting as the student reported to the police that he heard noises downstairs and decided to grab his samurai sword for protection. When he got downstairs he noticed the garage door was forced open. The burglar then came from behind and lunged at him. As you can imagine this was when the slaying began.
The student is still in custody, while authorities make sure his story is accurate. In the meantime, Samurai Swords are looking to take over tazers as the weapon of choice in 2010.

I remember a story like this in Japan. One World of Warcraft (WoW) player gave another WoW player a rare item in the game (a sword I believe), as they were a part of the same clan. The second player, however, decided to sell the sword online for real money (apparently this happens, that is people pay real money for imaginary things in a game). The first dude finds out, grabs his Samurai sword and comes over to the other dude's house, breaks in (while the second dude is having sex with his girlfriend) and slices him with the sword, killing him in the process. Ya know, some crazy shit!
