Kanye West is a marked man. Oh, not by me, certainly; by the industry. Why? For those of you who haven’t heard, the MTV Video Music Awards gave Taylor Swift the Best Female Music Video award, which she was understandably thrilled to receive. However, during her acceptance speech, Kanye ran up on stage from somewhere, rudely grabbed the mike away from Swift, and said “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”
It makes me sort of wish that there was another Kanye-esque character that would say “Kanye West doesn’t care about white people” right about now, because that’d be hilarious.
Then he took off, leaving a bewildered and hurt Swift in his wake. The audience sat stunned for a few seconds, then rose to its feet to applaud Swift with a standing ovation. Later, when Beyoncé won her award for Video of the Year, she demonstrated great generosity and compassion by inviting Swift onstage with her to give the speech she didn’t get a chance to give. Throughout the rest of the evening, whenever Kanye’s name was mentioned, the audience booed.
So, there you have it. Kanye West has big mouth and no manners. This comes as no surprise to anyone who’s been following his career. Thing is, how long can he keep shitting where he eats? Is anyone going to want to be associated with someone who can’t be professional and keep his opinions to himself? Maybe he and Senator Joe Wilson should record a track about how their opinions are so important they have to be shouted out RIGHT NOW. Let’s see how long it takes before he’s cast aside like yesterday’s trash. This will be a pleasure.

Sad that he feels the need to express his anger and loss this way. He should seek out some help to heal that. He’s a brilliant light, just on a path of self destruction. We pray for him.

I think I would feel better about everyone complimenting Beyonce’s classy move if I didn’t know that it was fully orchestrated by her father, who witnessed Taylor Swift’s mom reaming Kanye out backstage, and suggested to his daughter that she allow Taylor her time.
