GTA On Your iPhone! Now Your iPhone Can Kill More Hookers.

Good news, Apple fans, and yuppies. In a move shocking to just about no-one, Rockstar Games has announced they’re developing a port of Grand Theft Auto to be playable on the iPhone of the masses. Still no word on when AT&T will let the iPhone go, but conceivably, now, you can take your frustration out on the police. And I’m sure you have a lot of frustration, running around with an uber-expensive phone.

However, the bad news is the port will look remarkably similar to Grand Theft Auto 2. You remember Grand Theft Auto 2? Neither does anybody else. It was before Grand Theft Auto was expansive, encompassing, and cool, and their claim to fame was having cheat codes that were actually swear words. The view is from on top, looking down, like Grand Theft Auto, the cools ones, had babies with Starcraft. Top views usually limit reaction times and control functioning, but Rockstar is known for their innovation, so I feel like they’re going to pull out something epic that can utilize all the obscure functions of the iPhone. Including the flute app.

Rockstar has already ported Grand Theft Auto for the Nintendo DS, and it’s gotten pretty good reviews so far, so who knows?

I'm sure it will be a cool little app and all, worth a good spin or two, but is anyone really going to, like, play the game on their iPhone? Sure the iPhone can do a lot, but this is like playing Halo on your phone. It's just not gonna work.
