The game’s name is “NFL 2010″ and it’s possibly the best sports game out there. Check it out: ever played a game of Madden, perhaps on your Wii? The game works e-x-a-c-t-l-y like that. The graphics are passable – hardly of Xbox or Playstation quality – but amazing for the fact that it’s on your damn phone. For $5 you’ve got a fully developed football game with many play choices and possibilities. It plays like a Madden game, if you’ve ever played one of those in the franchise, and reminds me an awful lot of the Madden ‘09 on the Wii. Yes: you can get a Wii quality game on your iPhone for a hell of a lot cheaper than the $60 they’re asking for Madden ‘10. The sound is pretty decent, with an announcer and everything. Don’t expect a snowstorm or many options to change the weather and such… its a basic football game, but its by far the best looking Football game for the iPhone.
This is a huge, huge jump from playing “Snake” on my Nokia back in the day. However, the only two drawbacks I can think of are the loading times (up to thirty seconds on my 3G iPhone) and the repetitive announcer, who sounds more like a game show host. Regardless, it’s still totally worth it. Check it out!
