Neill Cameron is a freelance illustrator whose work has appeared in Time Out, IPC Media, and the BBC, as well as various other magazines, CD covers, websites, and comic books. Recently he put up a series of illustrations he worked on “just for fun”, called “The A-Z of Awesomeness“.
It’s a series of 26 pictures of various pop culture characters in various silly situations, one for each letter of the alphabet, suggested by readers of his blog and his Facebook and Twitter followers. Begun in June of this year, he’s now collected them all into poster format, and is selling signed copies on his site.
It’s hard to pick which one illustration is my favorite, though I have noticed a conspicuous majority of Marvel characters. I guess somehow it’s easier to imagine the Fantastic Four and Captain Britain in weird situations like these. But hey, Wolverine getting one-on-one time with Wonder Woman is something I absolutely need to see in comic form, stat.
