What is a Scoot Coupe?

Scoot Coupe’s are the latest craze in comfortable moped driving. Not only are they good for the environment, but their relatively inexpensive purchase price goes a long way with recession proof buyers. As advertised on their site, these small little go cart-esque machines get up to 80 miles per gallon.

However, ranging in price from $5,000 to $10,000, these three-wheeled coupes don’t come cheap. And in case you were wondering, no the woman in the picture doesn’t come with the vehicle.

It seems like America is taking after Europe and investing in smaller vehicles. We probably owe this new, cheap gas, small car phase to the ridiculous purchases of Hummers in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This is nature’s way of telling us to keep it simple and stop polluting.

Can you drive these things on the highway? I mean, I realize that motorcycles are just – if not more – dangerous on the highway, but this thing looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I think the price for this kind of car is not cheap. It should be more cheaper when we compare the world’s cheapest car (Indian car)
