Yet another rumor claiming that, “Lil Wayne has been shot,” at a Georgia airport following his concert in Virgina last night, is totally untrue. For some reason many of these fake celebrities deaths make headlines on low level blogs just to see if they are able to circulate the web…SUCCESS!
According to some web aficionados, if you hear about a celebrity death on Sunday evening or Monday morning it’s probably not true. These leaks tend to occur at the beginning of the week when most people return to work and get back on their computers.
But honestly, an airport? That’s the last place you would think a rapper would get shot at. Plus, the fact that this story is just now breaking leaves many wondering why it didn’t leak immediately after the shooting. Also, if you don’t get confirmation from a major news publication, I suggest you be very skeptical.
