Omer Bhatti’s all over the news now that Michael Jackson’s father Joe has nearly outright said that Bhatti is MJ’s son. In an interview with newsone.com, Joe Jackson responds to the question “Did you know [Bhatti] was his other son?” with “Yes, I knew he had another son, yes I did.” He goes on to agree that ” … he looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson, he can dance like a Jackson … “, but he doesn’t actually say in plain words “Omer Bhatti is Michael’s son.”
Bhatti himself denies any direct familial connection, though it’s been rumored that he is the product of a one-night stand with Bhatti’s mother Pia Bhatti in 1984 (incidentally, two years after “Billie Jean” was released, so no, the song’s not about this). Bhatti and his family also lived on Neverland Ranch for a while, during the time Pia operated as nanny to MJ’s son Prince. And perhaps strangest of all, Bhatti himself could be seen sitting with the Jackson family at the memorial, though apparently this was because he was ” … Michael’s closest friend – not because I am his son.”
Why would he deny this so strenuously? One would think only good things could come of being Michael Jackson’s heir. Bhatti’s got his own musical career, which could certainly get a boost from the notoriety. And there does seem to be a resemblance, though given all the changes MJ went through in his life, it’s difficult to point to any one feature for comparison. A simple DNA test would surely solve this problem, but so far, no one’s jumping at the bit to suggest it. Stay tuned.

I totally see a resemblance. Dang, this is really exciting. I never really knew that there would be another son. I will stay tuned! :D
