In the Phillipines, a two-headed baby was born, shocking doctors and health officials around the world. The infant, they are now calling “Baby Girl Arciaga”, was also born with two spines, two hearts and two brains. The director of the Philippines hospital, Fabella Memorial, says, “This is a very rare case. It’s new even to us.”
The baby is currently under observation and it is unclear how healthy the baby will be. According to some health officials, if the baby has only one working heart it will not survive.
What surprises me the most is that other than the two heads, the baby is fairly normal looking. Two hands, two feet, two arms and two legs. The fact that they have two of almost every vital organ inside this small body is unbelievable. Hopefully they will be able to save her though.
