E-Cigarettes Will Still Kill You

E-Cigarettes-1

For months now, you’ve been inundated with people smoking cigarettes in malls, and douchetastical bars like the Velvet Margarita, that aren’t actually cigarettes. They are electronic cigarettes, designed to deliver nicotine, while only emitting water vapor. Well, guess what? They’ll kill you. According to the FDA, who have been analyzing the cartridges, traces of the same elements found in anti-freeze populate the pack. So, to elucidate this in a run-down, here is what happens when you buy electronic cigarettes.

1. You pay $200 dollars for a cigarette you charge in a wall outlet

Yes. You read that right. 200 dollars. And you charge it in a wall, or a computer, using USB chargers. Proving to the world, you are intelligent enough to be tech-saavy, but dumb enough to keep smoking. Also, wall outlets are sometimes the only way to light real cigarettes if you’re as poor as I am.

2. You smoke electronic cigarettes

This seems fairly straightforward. You put the cigarette in your mouth, and smoke it. Only it’s not. You have to refill it with cartridges, like a hungry Nintendo. Anything that has cartridges automatically negates you being a rebel. Which is the whole point of smoking in the first place.

3. You die

Because you believed a dude in a mall, that a product will magically give you drugs without any of the bad side effects. Which is a lie. Don’t believe that man. His facial hair should indicate to you that he’s a liar.

The only time I saw someone using one of these, was clearly, to open women. So let that be a lesson. If you think of lame ways to get people’s attention, you will die from inhaling antifreeze. This is not a Brave New World. We don’t have e-drugs that are effective. Yet.

  1. The hoopla surrounding the e cig is because the phamaceutical companies that make hazardous and addictive nicotine cessation products want no competition! I know of numerous people who have had far more success at cutting down their smoking with the e cig.

  2. Laughing AT you..... says:

You really should know what you’re talking about before blogging about it.

Your inner nanny is showing, emo boy, not to mention your sheeple lemming tendencies.

Here’s an MD you can talk to about it.

Seriously? Emo boy? Sheeple lemming tendencies? Are you wearing a monocle?

Welcome to the internet, sir. I hope you enjoy your stay. You will find plenty of other indignant people to frolic with.

  4. immortalitylost says:

Dude. Really. Breathing will kill you. Guess what? Being born will kill you. Maybe e cigarettes will kill you, but they’ll kill you a lot slower than the real ones.

They found a chemical used in antifreeze in one cartridge. How many others have they tested? Cause there are a lot of brands out there.

Has the FDA released the full report? No.

Government wants smokers to keep on smokin. You know why? Cigarettes are taxed. E cigs aint. Plain and simple. The little death sticks that us smokers know and love, even as they kill us, yeah, about half the price of them is tax. Sin tax they call it.

They’re makin bank offa it and they don’t want people to quit, so they single out e cigs because unlike most smoking cessation aids, people don’t run on back to cigarettes like they do after two weeks on “the patch” or whatever. It mimics the habit. It works.

So it might be “bad for you.” But what the hell isn’t these days?

And it’s better for you than smoking. Better for people around you as well.

I don’t see what the FDA’s big feggin deal is as far as health goes.
Stop smoking aids have carcinogens in them as well, but they were granted FDA approval. The whole ordeal just reaks of lame.

  5. immortalitylost says:

Oh, um also, I agree that some people that use e cigarettes can be really lame about the whole thing, trying to convert you if you smoke or whatnot. But smokers are used to this right, all those holier than thou non smokers asking you if you know that cigarettes are bad for you/will kill you/are bad for them so don’t breathe on them. Most people who use e cigarettes are ex smokers so I can see where they’d want to kinda get back at some deuchbag non smokers and do their thing without people being able to say crap.

Also any reputable e cig supplier isn’t gonna charge $200 for their product. I got one for just under $50 plus two bottles of e liquid and it was still less than I payed for cigs in a two week period. And that initial like 70 bucks has lasted me a month so far and I still haven’t run out. So big bucks have been saved.

And guns have cartridges. Guns are rebelish. And it frees up your lighter for more *ehemm* useful endeavors, lol.

  6. HEY DUMBASS says:

They don’t cost 200$, they cost 60 dollars and each cartridge is 1$. ONE CARTRIDGE EQUALS 15 Cigarettes.

  7. some one smater than the Blogger says:

So Mark, someone discredits everything you just wrote and you rebuttle with the definition of exaggeration? Are you referencing yourself? I am curious why an E-Cig bothers you? How much Caffinated coffee do you consume “I drink a lot of it”? How is this different? If you drink coffee you are going to get addicted to Cocain as the ATF found cocain in some coffee shipments back in the 80′s so all us coffee drinkers are going to get crazy skinny and lose our teeth then turn to crack. I am also to believe that Abraham Lincoln was a stinking liar as he had a beard, damnit I could have a slave to send to the store for my tobacco that will without a doubt kill me and those around me….I cant be a rebel either as I dont want tobacco smoke or to feed the huge corporate tobacco machinie, NOOOO you cant have that Marlborro man image of a hitch hikeing dude standing there. I must now resort to my bad ass restomod 1977 firebird with its built in USB port to charge my 2nd battery while enjoying my AC with my windows up while its 150 degs outside when I could be the broke cowboy like him. “no rebel for me”. I have never had to use an ac outlet for lighting a smoke as I am smart enough to use the stove proving to the world that I am obviously smarter than the blogger named Mark. Please provide us with something more substantial than the fact that your an utter dumbass who who needs to light a ciggarette from a wall outlet, and please youtube that as I am dieing to see this..since I too only pay about a buck a day to support my new E-cig habbit I could even afford to toss you some of the 3600 dollars a year my wife and I save by not buying newports anymore.

  8. John Bishop says:

This is the problem with the internet these days. Misinformed, uneducated people spouting off misinformation about things they personally have a problem with.
First of all, if you had done any research, the actual FDA findings were that “there was trace amounts” of the substances you talk about. No where near enough to do anyone any harm, but of course they are only going to say it in a way that makes the e-cigs look bad, because they already don’t think highly of them.(which is messed up because anyone with half a brain can tell they are WAY better than the real thing, but yet they won’t admit it…kickbacks anyone?).
Number two, I don’t know where you get your information, but they cost no where near $200. I’ve seen starter kits range anywhere from $59.99 up to about $139.
Third misconception is people smoke “to be a rebel”. This statement alone shows your immaturity and ignorance, and the hard truth that people who think like this should have no business writing articles about anyhting anywhere.especially yhe internet.
Number 4, there has not been one case of someone dying because they were smoking electronic cigarettes. There have been millions who have died from tobacco cigarettes. Again, your information is as misrepresented as your thinking.

  9. Why are you people all so angry?! Dude is just offering an opinion… get over it if you don’t agree… there is NO SUCH THING as a healthy alternative to smoking…. not even herbs. And yeah the electronic ciggies can cost upwards of $200 if you buy ‘designer’ ones, but you can get ‘em as cheap as $20…. if you really do your research.

  10. Chantix kills a lot faster.

  11. Jennifer Allison says:

I smoked cigarettes for 25 years. I used chantix, pills, lozenges, gum and patches to try and quit. On July 10 I started smoking ecigarettes, and have not had an analog one since. I started out with just 16mg of nicotine and am now down to 0mg. So how exactly will this kill me? Oh, right, the one ingredient that is in antifreeze is also in ecigarettes. Well, there was a trace of a single ingredient of antifreeze in one of the many cartridges tested. How many ingredients are in cigarettes? Yes, over 4,000. In my humble opinion, I would rather be vaping a trace of one ingredient that might be bad for me than 4,000. Sounds to me like I am much better off with my $30 ecig that the gov’t isn’t taxing.

  12. Mark Lorenz says:

    RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE.

I’ve never seen more butthurt people congregate together. Again, welcome to the internet. Which is riddled with factual inaccuracies. Also, to the dude who claims he’s smater than me? We need smat people, sir. Keep the gusto. Although half-way through, I had no idea what you were talking about. A couple things.

    1. Anybody who thought I was deathly serious after reading the line about lighting cigarettes in a wall outlet, needs to take up whittling.
    2. Anybody who writes about government conspiracies keeping the e-cig, or themselves, or anyone down, has clearly never met anybody running a bureaucracy.
    3. And you started smoking to be a rebel. Or for social reasons. One or the other.

Keep arguing. It’s effective, really, considering 90% of this article is editorialized.

  13. Intellicig’s e-liquid has a minimum purity of 99% – a figure that smokers can trust

Statement from Intellicig in response to the announcement that smokers using battery-powered electronic cigarettes are being exposed to poisonous and carcinogenic chemicals:

David Newns, commercial director of leading smoking alternative Intellicig, said: “The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have analysed a number of refill cartridge samples imported into the US from China and identified one out of the nineteen samples contained minute traces of diethylene glycol and nitrosamines.

“At Intellicig we believe in providing our customers with a product that they can trust, which is why we can guarantee exactly what goes into our cigarettes.

“Intellicig continue to be the industry leader and we have invested heavily in producing our own ‘e-liquid’ right here in the UK, the only company currently doing so.

“Our ECOpure range contains none of the substances that have given cause for concern and is based on ingredients that have all been tested at over 99% purity by a University Laboratory.

“We will support any measures to restrict the use of poisonous and carcinogenic chemicals in any electronic cigarette products and maintain complete customer satisfaction as our number one priority.

“ECOpure is proving extremely popular as both suppliers and end users show their confidence in a UK made product which is subject to stringent quality control.

“Intellicig are now the main UK manufacturer and supplier exporting to over 20 countries and with Intellicig branded websites throughout the world.”

  14. if you buy a starter kit for 200 dollars, you’re an idiot. You can buy them for as cheap as 25$ in some websites….. I know someone said this already but I think for the butthurt it needed to be said again

  15. what a pathetic post. please read the FDA study and you will see it is as pathetic as your post.

  16. Still smarter the the writer says:

I think those of us who use these products are unamimous in there is a great deal of negative press on non-substantial findings, and the people blogging/reporting are not being fair about the information that they are publishing to unjustly place a negative light on a product that is with no shadow of doubt superior to the alternative in every measurable manner. Why damn a product that allows countless people to instantly remove themselves from 56 proven carcinogens at measurable levels of 2000 ppb or higher that make up a substantial percentage of the volume injested. The problem is some one at the FDA feels that this type of product should not exist and that we should have no choice but to use tobacco cigarettes or take a 50/50 “I say that in jest” chance on smoking cessation products. This type of product has been on the market in the US since 2004, so why now are we facing an outright ban? In my humble opinion “IMHO” it is that 2 very powerful corporate engines can now see how quickly it will effect there bottom line. This type of product will eliminate the smokeing cessation market that equals 3 billion dollars per year in a very short time. It would not be much longer till Tobacco feels a great deal of it’s customer base going the same way as it is healtier than tobacco without question and provides all the habitual stimulus with none of the negative stigma such as the smell, the second hand smoke, the ashtray breath, the ashtray, the stale smoke cloths, and countless numbers filling up our healthcare system with smoke related diseases attributed to the 56 or so cancer causeing ingredients that tobacco cigarettes will never be without. This is our problem, it is the same corporate scare tactic from the same corporate mentality that said cigarettes will help you breath better back in the 20′s to get this all started. Instead of standing against us stand with us to reduce the damage done by burning tobacco and inhaling it. Why not post an article that says how wrong you were about what you wrote or maybie even find some common ground and defend this product, or keep sniffing that ashtray outside the stores you walk into. which do you prefer?

  17. I am amazed that obvious hyperbole gets people up in arms, when genuine issues don’t. It’s an e-cigarette. There are more important things to rage about.

  18. still smarter says:

If there are more important things then write about them instead of this so I dont have to keep turning your own words against you?

  19. I would like to comment on the issue being discussed. Here is the reason I believe your comments frustrate some. There are 400,000 americans that die each year from tobacco related illnesses. Real people, who have family and friends. I personally know of one and I’m sure most do. It’s this loss of life that make this issue very personal. I wish that tobacco never existed. I wish all thoughs who suffer, not just the smokers, but the sons, the daughters, the wives, and everyone else who is affected, didn’t have to go through that pain. So, if there is by some chance that this technology may in fact save lives, then I think thoughs people deserve that respect. Everyone has a right to an opinion, but when people foolishly speak of a subject which disrespects thoughs who suffer, then they should be ashamed. This is a serious topic, because it’s peoples lives who are in discussion, so have a little respect. Thank you.

  20. The FDA’s latest findings that electronic cigarettes are unsafe have gained a flurry of attention from nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) advocates who say the already FDA approved NRTs pose the same risks. Worse yet are the recent side-effect warnings the FDA are enforcing be placed on popular drugs Chantix and Zyban that users are at high risk of depression, suicidal thoughts, and hostility. Smokers looking to quit have a right to be upset about the FDA trying to ban electronic cigarettes.
Quickly rising to the surface of the controversy is the concern that perhaps the FDA doesn’t have the general public’s health in mind as their primary focus. It seems that the FDA approved drugs are getting more negative attention as electronic cigarettes continue to gain ground as the safer smoking solution of choice. The largest portion of this fight is over why e-cigs are being targeted as a health risk instead of rightfully being compared to the existing health risks of tobacco cigarettes, or even other NRTs.
Many manufacturers of the e-cigarette point to a study conducted by Health New Zealand. Their study did not test for Diethylene Glycol which was one of the chemicals the FDA has drawn attention to in their findings. This isn’t outside the realm of reason since it is not on any of the manufacturers ingredients lists, nor is it a known carcinogen found in traditional cigarettes. According to the MSDS for Diethylene Glycol, it is known to cause lesions and other forms of damage to the kidneys and liver.
Examining the substance further, the carcinogenic or cancer causing properties of Diethylene Glycol proved moot as none were found and or expected to be found in the future. The toxicological data showed a lethal ingestion dose at a whopping 855.925g for humans, and that regular exposure was non-toxic. If any adverse reactions were to occur from inhalation, discontinuing use or removing oneself to fresh air is the recommended first aid treatment.
Also in the FDA’s statement concerning their findings on e-cig risks, they explained DG as the primary ingredient in anti-freeze. The EPA paints a different picture, however. They state, “Some manufacturers promote a propylene glycol based solution (vs. ethylene glycol) which is less toxic.”
Primary ingredient aside, the prominent danger in anti-freeze actually stems from the heavy metals, specifically lead, that contaminate the suspension during use. Improperly disposing of used anti-freeze is a toxic hazard due to the absorbed heavy metal, not due to the active ingredients.
Although DG was found non-carcinogenic, there was a trace amount of tobacco specific nitrosamines (TSNAs, carcinogens) found in 1 of the 18 cartridges tested by the FDA. This was not a new finding, as the Health New Zealand report did test for TSNAs and stated clearly that these were to be expected with any solution that derives its nicotine from the tobacco plant, and of course the amount of TSNAs would increase with the amount of nicotine contained in the cartridge. On average, electronic cigarette cartridges contain 3.928Ng (also knows as parts per billion [ppb]).
The highest amount of TSNAs expected to be found in any “high-strength” nicotine cartridge refill for an e-cig is on average 8.183ppb. The FDA neglected to mention that Nicorette Gum, a long-standing NRT that is FDA approved, also contains about 8ppb. If we want to see why this amount is insignificant, we can compare it to unburned tobacco cigarettes which average approximately 1,230Ng.
The FDA remained silent on equally yoking their findings, which begs the question of their integrity in their studies. Are they seeking to protect the public health, or prevent an unapproved NRT from taking shares from the pharmeceutics and Big Tobacco which they have just gained control over?

  21. Interesting how the ‘Propaganda’ has inspired this guy. True, he has written about a subject he knows nothing about. That should be your first clue.
The TRUTH is many industries and governments stand to loose MILLIONS because of this wonderful, life saving product.
It stands to reason they would launch a smear campaign to save their revenue.
The sad part is it will work to an extent because of ignorant persons such as he.
Perhaps he would prefer smokers continue their habit to feed these industries’ coffers and have less people around to crowd his living space. Is that it, sir?
Or, maybe, you would like to take away our freedom of choice, a fundamental American value?
I have always been amazed at non-smokers saying ‘Just quit’. This is like telling an obese person ‘Just don’t eat’. Naiveté again.
Now that there is a viable alternative to the nasty smell and second hand smoke, you would think everyone would embrace this concept. Alas, they have been swayed by these no doubt, well funded, brainwashing attempts. Bah…. (sheep).

  22. Have been using intellicig for 3 weeks – has stopped me smoking any tobacco (20 large unfiltered Drum roll ups a day for 20 years). My lungs feel healthier, I no longer cough, I have more money, I don’t have to go out for a smoke, I no longer inhale benzene, carbon monoxide etc etc. Next step is to reduce nicotine content. This seems like a superb product for smokers that want to stop smoking tobacco. This simply must be massively less damaging than tobacco. Roll on the long term studies on glycol vaping. Intellicig has stopped me smoking completely – make your own mind up

  23. I see that Mark the arrogant, conceited, self promotong tit that he is, now faces his come uppance, google Mark and Jennings and see how this half wit got himself into trouble lol, dumbo!!!!!

  24. The ingredient that he is referring to that ‘is antifreeze’ is actually Propylene glycol, which is indeed used in antifreeze, and food, and health and beauty items.
SO I guess I better quit eating, e-ciging and using lotion huh?

    But the safely concern is:
    Inhalation of Propylene Glycol:
Low hazard for usual industrial handling. May cause respiratory tract irritation.

    ….So nothing?

  25. Epic facepalm.

Haven’t bothered to read the pointless debate.

To put it in simple terms, the article is *pretty much fake.* It’s a *joke.*

Welcome to the internets. Now go slap yourselves for getting all uppity about something that wasn’t even half-serious.

  26. Elijah Beiser says:

    NICOTINE — MOST DEADLY POISON
Here’s a sore point for some people. They need that smoke. And all non-smokers do is complain about it. The tar builds up and prevents the smoker from being able to smell the smoke. It also inhibits taste, which is largely again connected with smell; often forcing the smoker to rely on spicer food for flavoring.

Well we’re going to put the uncomfortable smell of smoke aside. We’re going to ignore the facts of second hand smoke. We’re going to look over the accidental starting of fires in bed, at home, in a forest. Smokey the bear is just going to have to wait. Putting aside the sparks as people toss their cigeratte butss out the windows, and putting aside the tons of garbage generated from these things… we are going to focus on the nicotine. What is it really doing?

Nicotine is possibly the most deadly poison known to man. Millions have died as a result of its malignat influence. By constricting the arteries of the body, nicotine forces the heart to over-exert. Lungs have been fatally affected. Hardly an organ of the body escapes the insidious effect of the fatal nicotine poison.

First is gives a good sensation, and secretly and slowly it poisons your body. Then when you start suffering from the poisonous effects, you can’t quit because it has made you addicted to it. And the effects of NOT having it feel horrible. Everything looks like a cigeratte. It is your body’s way of reminding you “I WANT IT NOW!” However, it is possible to quit, and regain the senses (taste and smell) that have been slowly robbed from you and dulled overtime that you hardly know they are almost gone.

Is it a sin to use tobacco? There is no sense in denying the patent truth. Anything that defiles the holy body sanctuary is a sin. And no Christian should presumptuously shorten his life by introducing it into his body. Recognizing this and literally asking the Lord to help you deal with it, as strange as that may sound, talking outloud and all, shows your commitment and need to God; and as we’ve seen God will answer.

Few church members would consider taking even a small, microscopic doses of arsenic or strychnine into their body, yet they take something that is equivalent and just as lethal. Slowly the cigarette tars coat the delicate membranes of the lungs until death results; the not so lucky get cancer. It is exactly the same when men and woman deliberately inhale the toxic fumes of tobacco unil the accumulative side effect causes death. It is suicide on the installment plan.

Most smokers spend $50 or more every month on their indulgence. By retirement time this would amount to $25,000. Enough to guarantee a late-life nest egg, even if Social Security fails. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” [ HOS 4:6 ] Sometimes logic, and even scientific evidence, has a tremendous conflict with appetite, social custom and addiction.

Caffeine is a dramatic example. there is a growing catalog of research which points to caffeine as a pernicious enemy of good health. It is a powerful, habit-forming drug which has fastened millions in a vise of addiction. Many find it just as hard to give up caffeinated drinks as to stop smoking or drinnking. It has been indicted for its adverse effect upon the heart, stomach, nerves and even the fetuses of expectant mothers.

As someone who gave up caffeine (4 or more cokes a day), I can appreciate the struggle those convicted to release themselves from face; however as less and less is introduced to the system, the dependancy fades. http://www.wwco.com/religion/believe/believe_82.html

No in response to this and the fact this e-cig is so widly marketed it suggests that this is really just populaion control, because liquid nicotine is liquid death, I suggest someone google the chemical effect of nicotine, I did and the result was the above information, along with a slough of 1 – 10 of about 4,270,000 for nicotine being deadly…the facts are there the only thing is that people are remain ignorant to the facts.

  28. Hey Elijah, you can get e-cigs WITHOUT nicotine! So now what’s your excuse? God is an illusion, much like the mind you seem to have.

  29. Your arguments are unfounded and your sources are undocumented!

  30. If your going to smoke anything, smoke weed. And if you don’t like weed well then I’m afraid god probably hates you because you sit around online too “argue” with people. Come on everyone get a fucking life please.

  31. E-cigs Are not as bad as many think says:

Some people truly need to do there homework before opening there mouth.
Did you know nicotine is used for many things?
Oh ya its a poison but you would have to inject about 60mg x unknown quantity to be truly hurt.
when you take your hit from a e-cig say at 24mg its probably more about 5mg

btw the government conspiracies are accurate. without money they would be no longer. Think about it.

how do you get elected? is it by pure charm? NO
Is it out of your personal pocket?
    NO
is it by being sponsored from major companies oil pharmaceuticals. etc

  32. Great article.

Turn these lil’ freaks back into cigarette smokers and keep on padding my bloated wallet.

  33. How r u? your website is rocks
Take a look at that cool emo song:
    http://tinyurl.com/8lxnsg

  34. This article is full of lies.

    1. E-cigs don’t cost $200. If you paid that much, you got ripped off. Two of the best e-cigs money can buy, the joytech tornado (aka e-go) and the titan mk-ii (aka screwdriver) cost around $80 USD.

    2. Cartridges aren’t expensive. In Oklahoma, I used to pay $5.00 a pack for camel poison sticks. Switched to Blu cartridges, was paying the equivalent of $3.00 per pack. Now I’m just buying the nicotine juice, less than $2.00 per pack. I’m saving about $90 per month (about $1,000 per year).

    3. People don’t smoke e-cigs to be cool, they smoke them because they are addicted to nicotine and they don’t want to die young. If you want to be cool, go burn some tobacco, choke on it, and see if you have a heart attack before you get emphysema or cancer.

I’m not a scientist, I don’t know how much healthier they are, but I’d bet my left lung that the carcinogen levels in a reputable e-cig product are negligible — probably less than diet soda. What I do know is that I don’t wake up every day choking on a thick sludge of mucus, and I feel great compared to when I smoked tobacco.

    4. Regarding nicotine, it is possible to have the drug without the side effects. And it’s not magic. You’d have to be a moron to not know that nicotine is not the carcinogenic element in cigarette smoke. Seriously, this is a brain-crushingly stupid point of view. If nicotine was the dangerous element of a cigarette, why would anyone ever bother to use a patch or gum?

    5. Only one, very disreputable manufacturer has been found to use the “chemical found in antifreeze” diethylene glycerol. All reputable e-cig cartridge and liquid providers use either propylene glycerol or vegetable glycerol, which are not known to be harmful. Purchase your e-cig products from respected sites like totally wicked or johnson’s creek.

Mr. Lorenz, I strongly urge you to cease communicating with anyone about this subject until you at least spend a few minutes researching it. Otherwise anyone who catches a whiff of the smoke you are blowing may suffer from second-hand stupidity.

So funny you kept this up here. You believe the lies and post them. I have to assume it was a joke, no one can be this dopey. How embarrassing.

  36. wow. you are a dick. just because somebody smokes doesn’t meant they’re stupid. it’s a fucking addiction, you asshole. what about people with other addictions like alcoholism or bulimia…are they stupid too? get a life, you moron. you’re probably just jealous because you’re fat and spend all day bitching online about things that don’t even pertain to you.

  37. detectivebruce says:

    you’re a fucking idiot.

  38. Every day you drink traces of the same elements found in anti-freeze.
    It is called water.
To say that an ingredient is poisonous because it is an ingredient in anti freeze as well doesn’t make sense because of my similar comment above. Think about it.

  39. Write assumption songs, you'll have lots of fun. says:

FDA +1 on your ignorance. Be proud if things are different and this was you a year ago :)

  40. HORRIBLE ARTICLE.

  41. Your are truly misinformed

  42. yah ur a moron…i can’t believe i stumbled across your ignorant blog on google when i was looking for legitimate information online….and you are right, there ARE more important things to RAGE about…like idiots who have blogs that people actually follow. but i gotta give you mad props…your idiotic blogs are so entertaining, other people actually read them.

  43. Once again, smokers and other rude people dont get it. I was recently in a public place when I started choking and was not able to breathe. I could smell something strange, but couldnt quite identify it. Before I was able to leave the area, I had a migraine and was beginning to have an asthma attack. I then discovered the person behind me was ‘smoking’ an e-cig. There is no difference between breathing 2nd hand nicotine smoke or 2nd hand nicotine vapor. I dont care if people want to smoke themselves to death, just dont make me breathe it too. One persons scented vapor is anothers pain. I’m sure everyone has experienced ‘that’ guy who bathes in aftershave…he thinks he’s hot, but everyone around him is choking & puking….e-cigs are no different. Blowing smoke or vapor on other people is really no more socially acceptable than spitting or pissing on them. Get a clue. Smoke all you want in your own domain…kill yourself even…just dont do it in public and subject everyone else to it.

  44. are you fucking stupid!!!

  45. You are a true and utter moron. Addressing your points:

    1. Sure, you pay $200 for the e-cigarette, and then for the cartridge refills. Isn’t that better than paying $10/day for a pack of cigarettes? Much cheaper in the long run, particularly if it helps you quit.

    2. Who said anything about being a rebel? The whole idea behind the e-cigarette is to help you quit — a stepping stone toward being smoke free. Who the fuck cares what people think of you? You seem to place a lot of importance on what others think. Well, I think you’re a douche.

    3. The whole idea is harm reduction. Maybe e-cigarettes are still harmful. They’re a lot less harmful than cigarettes and they are certainly a great idea if they help you quit smoking for good, and then even quit the e-cigarettes as well.

Anyhow. You’re a fucking idiot. You have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m not sure why you vomited this utter fecal matter onto the Internet, but I just thought I’d stop by to say fuck you.

Oh, and I should mention that I’ve never used an e-cigarette in my life, so I hold no bias on the matter.

  46. Your a dumb ass mayb you should research.mote before you talk shit

  47. Appreciating the commitment you put into your blog and in depth information you present. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed information. Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  48. Well, it has been a long time since I posted on this forum. First, apologies for my earlier posting, I was stating Nicotine being deadly as a fact proving a conspiracy involving population control. Completely invalid, furthermore I mention god, invalid. Lastly, I was sixteen years old when I posted this; wanting nothing more than my parents to stop smoking because I was afraid they would die from smoking related causes.

So, here is my new angle. Maybe attempt to quit, for the sake of your health, and that of the community and family you are surrounded by. Good luck, but remember the environmental and social implications of your addiction, weigh the pros, if there are speak-ably any.

And of course, pick-up the butts, I hate doing that, as a non-smoker. But I assume most of you are using electronic cigarettes by now.

    Thanks. Elijah Z.

  49. “The whole idea is harm reduction. Maybe e-cigarettes are still harmful. They’re a lot less harmful than cigarettes and they are certainly a great idea if they help you quit smoking for good, and then even quit the e-cigarettes as well.”

    JS- great point.

  50. The antifreeze was only found in one e cig by the fda and it was banned. So you are the dumb on for acting like you know more than you do and I dont even use the e cig
