Taking place today at 6:00pm EST, President Obama will sit down with Henry Louis Gates and James Crowley to “descalate” the controversial arrest of the black Harvard professor and white arresting officer. Obama, who’s close friends with Gates decided to invite the two to his residents as a way of dialoguing through this incident.
The three men are expected to throw back a few beers and enjoy a nice afternoon on the white house lawn. Blue Moon, Red Stripe, Becks and Budweiser are said to be the beverages of choice.
President Obama noted in his speech regarding this situation that race relations in America continue to be a heated debate. Through dialoguing and understanding others perspectives, we as a country will be able to be more sympathetic to our peers and not so quick to judge others.
