It has come to Manolith’s attention that Gidget the chihuahua better known as the Taco Bell dog upped and died on us. Now thats just rude. Billy Mays, Michael Jackson, and now The Taco Bell dog? Really? We strongly suggest that the Beggin’ Strips golden retriever stays away from bacon, bacon, bacon, lest he too meet a similar fate.
Yes, it appears that the popular dog mascot died of a doggie stroke – the cutest, yet cruelest doggie death – on July 21st. We shall remember the good times, Gidget. The way you stood there and announced to the world that yes, you, a canine, desired a Gordita (of flatbread cradles three). The way you appeared on 8th grade nerds tshirts for an extended period of time when irony was yet to be fully defined; yes, we shall remember that too, Gidget. Ah, 90’s nostalgia shall be bittersweet forevermore.
