What started as a casual conversation about fly fishing soon escalated into an all out sexual assault by superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. So alleges Harrah’s employee Andrea McNulty in a civil suit filed in Washoe County, Nevada. As first reported by Profootballtalk.com , Big Ben is facing Kobe-like charges of sexually assaulting a hotel employee. Criminal charges were not filed.
In the civil suit, McNulty claims that Big Ben used the ole ‘the sound on my TV isn’t working’ trick to lure McNulty into his hotel room. Once there, Roethlisberger allegedly blocked the door, prevented McNulty from leaving and then forced himself on the Harrah’s employee despite continued protests.
Big Ben was staying on the Penthouse floor of Harrah’s during the 2008 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. The incident allegedly took place on July 11, 2008.
Lawyer David Cornwell, who has previously represented NFL players Reggie Bush and Donte’ Stallworth, issued a denial on Monday night. “Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty,” Cornwell said. That “especially” part cracks me up.
Look, this whole thing sounds a little too McNutty to be true. With the absence of a criminal investigation and additional allegations of an all out cover-up/conspiracy by half of the Harrah’s Hotel staff, I just have a hard time believing it all.
And really, it’s not like Big Ben, a two-time world champion, has ever had any issues finding hot chicks to party with.

As Big Ben has been continuously over hyped by the sports media machine as being a great QB, I would not be surprised to learn this accusation is also a bunch of hot air. He should thank the STEALERS defense, poor officiating and Santonio 'One foot in' Holmes for all of his success - on and off the field.

Right now there are MANY different stories going around. I heard that Andrea tried to report the incident. When there is money and power involved and you the victim does not have either of these - then you are more or less fighting the David and Goliath battle. There are MANY pictures on the web where it clearly shows that Big Ben is intoxicated. OFTEN booze makes good civil people do things that they normally won't do. As a HUGE Steelers fan, I hope this is just a story that is a lie. If it is true, you go girl (Andrea) and we all will be rooting for you. I hope that his money and power doesn't buy him a "get out of jail free" card.
