The infamous Erin Andrews Peephole video was the topic of conversation this weekend. The video of her walking around her hotel room naked has been distributed netionwide (net+nation) through P2P and bit torrent clients alike. Andrews has yet to confirm she was the woman in the video, but her lawyers did issue this statement:
“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent. She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future…”
The lawyers go on to say that they are still looking for the perpetrators that performed this illegal act. It is unclear if ESPN will press charges on NSFWpoa.com, the first website to distribute the video. They did indeed comply when ESPN asked them to take the footage down, but it was already too late. Andrews plans on pressing criminal and civil charges to those who are found responsible.
