ESPN was able to obtain some exclusive footage from 2007 of NFL player Pacman Jones in a Las Vegas strip club “Making it Rain” with fellow celebrities Jermaine Dupri and Nelly. Jones, who’s known more for his off the field troubles than his on field performance has been subject to ridicule by the NFL for his whole career. After countless arrests and court cases against him, the NFL couldn’t handle all the bad press and decided to suspend him for a year.
In this particular incident, Jones was suspected of beating up a stripper for picking up the money he used to make it rain. Apparently that’s an unwritten rule in strip club guidelines and the stripper had to find out the hard way. A shooting then occurred outside the club which really made everything worse.
What surprised me about this incident was the fact that they let someone in the club with a camera? If you watch the video again, you’ll notice Nelly try to block the cameraman from videotaping him on stage. Also, ESPN’s definition of “Making it Rain” was priceless.
