Obama Booed at All-Star Game

By Yosef Solomon on July 15th, 2009

At last night’s MLB All-Star Game, President Obama was booed after throwing out the first pitch. Actually if you listen closely, it sounded like they were booing him from the introduction. Fans at home weren’t able to see exactly where the ball landed, but it seemed to me that Obama threw a decent pitch.

Baseball aficionados said he threw like a sissy, but really, give the guy a break, you can’t expect him to be good at everything. Sporting his black and white Chicago White Sox jacket, Obama jogged onto the field and waved to the St. Louis crowd before the first throw.

Compared to George W. Bush’s famous strike in the 2001 World Series, Obama couldn’t compare. But Cardinals star catcher Albert Pujols noted that pitch did make it to the plate.

There were some boos, but a majority of very loud cheering combined with a standing ovation. Go watch the video before you post misinformed "news" stories.

There were a ton of boos and it was VERY noticeable. Only Ted Lilly of the Cubs was booed more lustily (as any self-respecting Cardinals fan should do). Neither of those being booed surprised me. It was the boos for Braun of Milwaukee that was a stunner.

They were briefly booing his White Sox jacket you frigging idiots. Right after the pitch, he got a roaring applause. Jesus, the haters will even lie about something when the truth is on tape. Pathetic.

Some people find bad in anything. Booing the President wether the jacket or the pitch was like booing the National Anthem. Get over it ___holes and quit showing the muslims your embarassing American Spirit.

@johnstein, I might believe you if you weren't such an obviously racist a$$hole. Only you and your douche friends were probably booing.

I was booing him from the comfort of my couch. Oh and I had my middle finger waving. I can't stand Obama. Maybe if we agreed on even 1 issue I could be more tolerant of the egocentric assbag, but he's not going to stray from his beloved Socialism, so we'll never be friends.

his throw may not be too great, but you have to admit, he's got one nice jump shot.

Kevin and Yosef, Why is it the people with weak minds start off with the name calling. I know you both would crap your pants before you would talk to me like that in person. Be on the side of the Commie if you like, there is a backlash coming and you will have to live with your actions...
