Akon is a rapper and that’s about all I really know about the guy, because he’s obviously one of those cats the record companies throw out there like we won’t notice. I’m sure the guy is immensely talented and everything, but it’s just kind of strange when all of a sudden there’s AKON, STAR OF STARS AND SINGER OF SONGS and you hadn’t even heard of him two weeks ago. I’m just sayin’.
That shouldn’t be happening. They should give us a two week notice, at least, before they introduce a new rapper or singer and we can all take a vote on it. I know nothing about this guy other than he threw a kid and he had something to do with that one song ‘Nobody Wants To See Us Together’ or whatever the fuck that was called.
Do you know how many 14-year-old Puerto Rican girls played that song? Maybe they understand Akon – or whoever he is (there’s no way nobody would ever name their child “Akon”) – better than I do. Come to think of it I really dislike Akon. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s that terrible yellow blazer he’s wearing.
