Michael Bay To Megan Fox: “Nu-uh!”

I love it when celebs diss on each other. Nothing says “classy” like one pompous, self-important Hollywood type saying something cutting about another. It’s even better when it escalates into a prolonged battle, ’cause then, hey, more fodder for my posts! But I digress. Case in point: Michael Bay is counter-dissing Megan Fox, who recently told an interviewer that “People are well aware that ["Transformers 2"] is not a movie about acting.” Which is true. If you’re buying a ticket to any movie with the word “Transformers” in it, you’re not looking for in-depth examinations of the human psyche. One point to Megan.

Bay seems to be laying the fault of Fox’s criticism at the feet of her age. “She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.” Well, that’s true enough, Michael. One point to you. But then he went on to say “Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers,” and further cited his own ability to create megastars by mentioning the careers of Nicolas Cage, Ben Affleck, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, and Shia LaBoeuf. He seems to think that because his movies tend to launch careers that they’re anything other than effects-laden adrenaline fests, which, frankly, is the reason I see his flicks.

Okay, the both of you, c’mere. Michael, you make some of the best ridiculous popcorn fare ever to grace the big screen, but you’re not making thoughtful, sensitive dramas, okay? Megan, there’s an old saying: “You don’t shit where you eat.” Keep up this kind of talk and you’ll soon fade into obscurity, as no one will want to work with an actress who can’t keep her opinions of her co-workers to herself. Now, c’mon and hug it out and get busy making Transformers 3: Electric Boogaloo.
