Hi, I’m AV Flox and I’m joining the Manolith team on a weekly basis to get you laid.
That got your attention. Good. Not that I think you need it. I mean, you are reading Manolith and not asking how “babbies” are formed on Yahoo Answers.
But let me tell you a little about me.
I’m not a psychologist, a sexologist or a sex therapist. But I’ve been a girlfriend, a fiancee, a wife, a mistress, a pet, a one-night stand, a stranger on the other side of the screen and a confidante.
I’m just a woman who loves sex, enjoys sex and thinks you should have some.
I’ve written about sex for BlogHer, one of the largest communities for women on the web; how to use technology to leverage your desirability at lalawag, a Los Angeles-based tech and entertainment blog; and covered bizarre sex news with the Montreal-based Black Heart Magazine.
And now I will be writing for you.
So, please, call me AV, and tell me what you want to know.

Hi, AV. What's a good date spot in the LA area?

If I can interject, my suggestion first and foremost is to do a little research. Find out what your date is into and not into and find a nice quiet spot for your date. Nothing worse than going to a busy restaurant at peak hours when it's really noisy. You want this date to be as distraction free as possible. Don't take her to an Indian restaurant if she doesn't like Indian. She's not going to change her mind and it's just going to be awkward. Same deal if you take her to a type of cuisine she's never had before. You can do that a few dates later but play it safe the first time. You might consider a place on a nice street you can stroll afterward. Like here in LA, you might consider a place alongside Abbot Kinney in Venice which is a very hip area and lots to look at while you chat. Or maybe the Santa Monica Promenade or of course, the beach. That applies to a lot of coastal cities. If she's into sports, Great! Maybe a night out at a box seat at a Dodgers game and dinner beforehand at the Stadium Club (and you don't need to be a season ticket holder to get in). If she isn't into sports, then don't try to convert into a sports fan. Just do a little research and it might go a long way.
