Billy Mays Cause Of Death

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner just released the autopsy report for the world’s greatest infomercial figure, Billy Mays. Mays, who passed away Sunday morning, due to what doctor’s believe was heart failure, was 50 years old. After conducting the autopsy, officials found no evidence in head trauma as previously perceived.

Mays was on a flight home Saturday night and complained about a blow to the head, after a rough landing on US Airways flight 1421. Doctors also ruled out substance abuse with medication, even though Mays was due for hip replacement surgery today.

No official word has been released on the exact cause of death for Mays, but doctors will know very shortly after all tests are complete. Mays, who’s signature beard and over-the-top antics on various infomercials made him a fun character to watch and will be hard to replace. The “Shamwow” guy is a deadbeat and there really aren’t any other cool infomercial personalities.

  5. i really thought he was some d bag salesman until i saw the show pitchmen on the discovery channel. turns out he was a damn fine human being, and i am truly sad to see him go. i feel for his family and friends.

  6. Billy Mays was truly an amazing pitchman, we called him “the loud guy” at home. I think we have not seen anyone like Billy since PT Barnum, although Ron Popiel paved the way.

It is really tough to think he is no longer on TV. A hint to the guy who wrote the article: Billy Mays promoted the SHAM POW not the SHAM WOW. He hated Sham wow…I can see you don’t watch Pitchmen.
