Big news in the world of basketball today, fifteen-time NBA All-Star and four-time NBA Champ, Shaquille O’Neil, is packing up his bags and moving. That’s because he just got traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a deal that’s supposed to go down later today, the 7-foot-1 center would be traded in exchange for the Cavs’ Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. The Suns would also receive pick #46 in the draft and $500,000 as well.
But the real question (and excitement) of today’s news is, just how much will the Cavs dominate next year? I mean, the team already has LeBron James and they had the best record last year, and now this? Let me tell you, total domination. Not that the big guy is anywhere near his peak, but he’s still an All-Star player. Plus, this has got to ease worries in Cleveland that LeBron – who will be a free-agent next year – would take off in search of a team that could make the finals and win.
Oh and apparently Shaq found out about the trade, not from his manager or agent, but from Twitter. Which, actually, is kind of fitting really. As the story goes, a fan found out, somehow, and leaked the word to the big man via a short 140 character message.
Anyway, I hope Shaq likes cooler weather. Cleveland’s cold!

wonder what kobe thinks of this?
