Now that ER has finally limped across the finish line, it appears John Stamos is looking to score his next big project. And as he told The New York Daily News, that new project may be a return to the sitcom that made him a household name – Full House.
According to Stamos, he’s gung-ho about bringing a remake version of Full House to the big screen.
Now, hold on. Take a deep breath. Before you get all excited about finally seeing that famous John Stamos/Dave Coulier chemistry back in action, Stamos wants it known that he doesn’t picture the original cast reuniting for the project.
Rather, the Full House movie would be set sometime during the show’s original series run (1987 to 1995). And opposed to seeing full-grown Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen back in diapers, Stamos has envisioned some of today’s most prominent actors to step in and fill the void. Stamos’ dream cast includes:
Danny Tanner – Steve Carell
Jesse Katsopolis – James Franco
Joey Gladstone – TRACY MORGAN!!
That’s all well and good, Mr. Stamos, but that doesn’t answer the most important question: WHO WILL BE PLAYING KIMMY GIBBLER!!!
‘Right now, the Full House movie is a singular conceptual dream of John Stamos, meaning it probably won’t get made. But given the in flux of 80s remakes on the horizon (21 Jump Street, The A-Team, Flight of the Navigator, etc.), anything is possible, I suppose.’
