National Man Day
Today we celebrate National Man Day. Started by two young chaps from Indiana in 2008, National Man Day has been popularized via their Facebook Fan Page. Accumulating more than 70,000 men across the world, June 15th 2009 was tabbed as the inaugural National Man Day.
According to their Fan Page “National Man Day is the day for all men to stand up and say, ‘Yes, I am a Man.’ And ‘Yes, I will step up and do manly things and whatever I want to do on this glorious day!” The two founders will appear on the Indianapolis Fox News morning show and are asking men around the world to tune in.
This reminds me of that group Al Bundy started on Living With Children. I think they called themselves “No Ma’am.” If you check out the National Man Day fan page, they give you a breakdown of how the holiday came about. They also show you thousands of manly pictures, including construction parts, cranes and sports cars.

ugh. what’s next, National White Day?
