Late last night the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation released the mug shots of convicted music legend Phil Spector, and can I just say, not a good look. Shown sans wig, the mug shots feature a balding and dreary-looking Spector that more closely resembles the Crypt Keeper – as noted by TMZ – than the hit producer and ladies man that he once was.
The photos, which were taken at the North Kern State Prison (located in Kern County, California) on June 5, were taken on account of his recent conviction on charges of second degree murder. Found guilty for the 2003 murder of actress and cocktail host Lana Clarkson, the 69-year-old Spector now faces a 19-year prison sentence. Which of course begs the question – just what (or who) exactly will Spector look like when he’s finally released from jail at the ripe old age of 88? Maybe by then, some gracious soul will have slipped him a wig or two inside of a cake. One can only hope.
Last point, drugs. They make you look and do crazy things.
